YUWA calls for application from enthusiastic and motivated young people aged 16-24 to apply for the position of Youth Activists Leadership Council member 2019-2020. The council with a group of 10 people from diverse backgrounds serves for the advocacy on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) at grass-root, national and international level for improved SRHR policies.
Youth Activists Leadership Council (YALC) is a group of 10 youth activists, aged 16 to 24, who advocate at the national and international level for improved Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) policies including sexual and reproductive health,family planning services, Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) and programs that support meaningful youth participation. It is a one-year volunteer program.
Objective of YALC:
-To bring together various youth activists under a single platform of Youth Activists Leadership Council.
-To strengthen advocacy for SRHR issues through formal and informal youth groups to solicit universal access to reproductive health.
-To maximize the advocacy efforts and widespread the message through use of advocacy tools.
-To produce youth activists in Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights and Comprehensive Sexuality Education.
February 9th 2019 to February 8th 2020 Stipend: This position is a year based volunteer position however minimal stipend to cover communication and travel will be provided.
– Age Group 16-24
– Interested to work in SRHR -Self motivated and having learning attitude.
The YALC program position is Kathmandu based but open for all youth nation wide.
– YUWA team screens this application form and selected participants will be called for group work and then to interview. Out of all, 10 will be selected as YALC member for a period of one year.
