UWS Nepal Teaching Fellowship is a two- year graduate placement program aimed at Nepali youths who are seeking experience in teaching, community action and international development. Through this program, we provide an opportunity to Nepal’s exceptionally bright, enthusiastic and accomplished individuals from across the nation and provide further insight, tools and opportunities to serve as full-time teachers to children from poor and marginalized communities in Nepal. Through this experience of teaching in classrooms and working with students, parents, and community leaders our Fellows get exposed to the grassroots realities of Nepal’s education system and engage them at a crucial time in their careers and broaden their connections as a leader building a larger movement for systemic change towards educational equity in Nepal.
We are looking for passionate learners and change makers with:
- Valid Nepali Citizenship
- Minimum educational qualification of Bachelor’s Degree
- Willingness to commit 2 years to the Fellowship program
- Excellent English and Nepali speaking and writing skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in team work
