Interactive Mela : Time is Now. Rural and Urban Activists Transforming Women’s Lives

#PressForProgress: Time is Now. Rural and Urban Activists Transforming Women’s Lives

Search for Common Ground, UNICEF, Asian Development Bank (ADB), CARE Nepal, and Governance Facility would like to invite you to an Interactive mela organised to promote positive masculinity. The program under the Integrated Program on Strengthening Security and Justice (IP-SSJ) program will provide a unique opportunity for the public to witness firsthand the work done by development practitioners to address the issue of Gender Based Violence (GBV) and herald an inter-generational dialogue to garner collaboration between multiple stakeholders to promote positive masculinity.

The mela will feature keynote speeches by Ministry of Women, Children, and Social Welfare (MoWCSW), and Department for International Development (DFID), a panel discussion with gender experts on social norms, masculinities, and legal provisions. Also included, will be a musical performance by Nattu Shah and her band, Slam Poetry from Word Warrior, and resource stalls from various I/NGOs.
